Hot Cross Buns – Part 1

It’s Good Friday today so, in keeping with tradition, I will be baking hot cross buns with my lovely Swedish friend Sofia this afternoon. However, I wandered out for a coffee this morning and when I saw a tray of hot cross buns being pulled from the oven at the E5 Bakehouse, couldn’t quite resist… Naughty I know, but it’s important to have standards to strive towards isn’t it? So really it was all in the name of research. Honest.

The bun was DELICIOUS by the way (soft, warm and fruity, with a sweet and sticky glaze), so if you are in the London Fields area today, I strongly recommend.
