A Postcard to Mother

This post serves as the modern day equivalent of the postcards the Five are obliged to send home to let Mother and Father and/or Aunt Fanny know that all is well (I don’t do Twitter). I’m writing this laboriously from Dick’s mobile electronic device (ie iPhone) to report that it’s day 3 and we have safely arrived in Cirencester despite soul-destroying hills, a puncture (mine) and what the Met Office described as a ‘wall of water’. It’s all part of the fun of course and we’ve also had gorgeous views, ginger beer, good local sausages and berries from the bramble bushes that are positively littering the sides of the country lanes we’ve been cycling along. Full report to follow upon my return. Timmy says ‘hi’!
